A Starry Dublin Night

Designer:

A Starry Dublin Night brings a swirling blue-and-gold sky to the scale of an everyday streetscape. Created for the City of Dublin's 2026 Utility Box Art Program, the mural connects an expressive night sky with houses, hills, fields and winding paths.

A dark cypress anchors the broad faces while rhythmic strokes carry light and movement around the box. Yellow windows and golden pathways echo the stars overhead; green fields and clustered buildings give the scene a sense of inhabited place. The composition extends across the narrow sides, treating the utility box as a continuous painted form that changes as viewers move around it.

The gallery documents the work near completion in September 2026, with updated views showing the layered brushwork, contrasting faces and relationship to the public sidewalk.
