Seasons of Dublin
Designer:
Seasons of Dublin transforms a utility box into a walk-around landscape of spring, summer, autumn and winter. Created for the City of Dublin's 2026 Utility Box Art Program, the commission brings painterly color and recognizable natural forms into an everyday pedestrian setting.
A pink flowering tree, green hills, sunlit wildflowers, warm autumn foliage and a quiet winter landscape unfold across the box's different faces. Repeated layers of color connect the scenes while giving each season its own atmosphere. The changing views invite people to encounter the work from more than one direction, making the structure's corners and narrow sides part of the composition.
The gallery documents the work near completion in September 2026, including newly layered surfaces and views of the surrounding streetscape.
